Easy Valentines Day/Date Night Hairstyles

Hello everyone, and Happy Valentines Day!! So obviously I have long hair, and could only demonstrate a tutorial for long hair, which is what I have done in the video I have included below, but I also have done this hairstyle on a doll head with medium length hair (just slightly past shoulders), and it looked beautiful on this hair length as well.

I have included those pictures below as well! So, for all of you with medium-long length hair, look no further for a quick and easy Valentines Day, or any-time-date-night hairstyle! (Now for those of you with short hair, at or above the shoulders, I have included my recommendation below, including a step-by step, and photos!)

Below is the picture of the same hairstyle on medium length hair…

My recommendation for short hair is big curls with teasing and one side pinned back, like pictured below.

This look was accomplished with the following steps:

  1. Curling hair with a curling wand (can also use curling iron or straightener) with all hair on the sides of the head curled away from the face, and all hair in the back of the head curled alternating ways.
  2. Spraying with hairspray, and then loosening curls to desired look with wide-tooth comb.
  3. Teasing crown area of hair, and re-curling any pieces that need retouching.
  4. Using 2 bobby pins to securely pin back the left side, and pulling a bit of the loose hair over top of the bobby pins to hide them from view.

I absolutely love how elegant and beautiful this look is for short hair, and it is definitely simple, and easy to accomplish!

That is all I have for you all today! I hope you all are having a wonderful Valentines Day, and that you have a blessed and wonderful rest of the week!

  1. These hairstyles are awesome, and I’m always looking for new ways to put my hair up that doesn’t take forever. I tend to prefer my hair to be away from my face when at work, so I’m gonna have to try these out.
